Gwen Newton Ketrenos died Jan. 15.

She was born July 17, 1937, to Cares and DeAlva Newton in Plainview, Texas. She joined three sisters and a brother, who all preceded her in death.

She is survived by husband Bob Ketrenos; daughter, Kathryn [Chris]; and nieces and nephews.

She sailed to Turkey and back with her husband on their 40-foot sailboat over a seven-year period, stopping in 26 countries and making many new friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
