Grace J. Voorhees

Jan. 27, 1922 — May 3, 2008

Grace Jewell Voorhees, 86, of Cottonwood, died May 3.

Born in Phoenix, Voorhees was a longtime resident of Lake Montezuma, an accomplished seamstress and quilter; past member of the Rimrockers, Kiwanas American Kennel Club, breeder and judge.

Voorhees was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; son, Michael; and is survived by a daughter, Mary [James] Levan; son, Robert Reed; brothers, Ross and Horace Babcock; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial is scheduled for Beaver Creek Baptist Church, Rimrock, Saturday, May 10, at 1 p.m.
