George Playter, 94, of Sedona, died Nov. 10.

Born July 8, 1917, in Philadelphia, he served in the Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by three wives and a brother.

He is survived by a niece and his companion Muriel McClure.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in the Sunset Village Clubhouse at 205 S. Sunset Drive.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Church of the Red Rocks.

My prayers are with Muriel and her family at this sad time. Thank you "Aunt" Muriel for being their for Uncle George these past years. He is now up in heaven with my dad and the rest of my family. God bless you all.
