Floyd Riner Jr., a resident of Oak Creek Canyon, died Nov. 27.

Born Sept. 18, 1929, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service. His great passion was the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive he started in Glendale, which is now nationwide. He was a member of the Sedona United Methodist Church and Friends of the Forest.

He is survived by his wife, Genny; daughter Joy (Rick) Taylor; stepdaughter Marleah McKnight; stepson Robin McKnight; three grandsons and a brother.
