Douglas Lee Carithers

Douglas Lee Carithers aka “Kemosabe” died Nov. 25, at the age of 62 from pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Tucson on Oct. 20, 1949, to Hildegard and Joseph Carithers. After serving his country in Vietnam, he became a National Park/River Ranger at Canyonlands National Park, and Navajo National Monument. He also worked as a tour guide in Sedona.

He is survived by his loving wife, mother, sister, two daughters, sons-in law, and four grandchildren.
