Doris M. Arntsen

Jan. 31, 1915 - May 9, 2009

Doris M. Arntsen, 94, of Sedona, died May 9, 2009.  She was born in New Raymer, Colo., on Jan. 31, 1915.

She owned and her husband, Alvin A. Arntsen, moved to Sedona in 1969 to build and operate the Sedona Inn Motel.

She was an active member of the Philanthropic Education Organization and the Heritage Club of Sedona.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina, two grandsons, and a great-granddaughter, all of Phoenix, and two sisters, Lois Ice of Prescott and Barbara Jenkins of Mid West City, Okla.

A memorial was held at Church of the Red Rocks on Thursday, May 21. Donations in her memory to El Bah Travel and Clinic, 552 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008 or to P.E.O. care of Ann Tedrick, 6770 W. Hwy 89A, #69, Sedona, AZ 86336.
