Donald Fredrick Rader died Thursday, Dec. 29.

He was born in 1926 in Wichita, Kan.

Rader was a U.S. Navy veteran, Kansas State University graduate and aerospace engineer. In 1984 he moved to Sedona, becoming active in the First Church of Christ Scientist, the Verde Valley Amateur Radio Association and the Free Masons No. 14.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth Rader; daughter, Christina Greene; sons Thomas and David Rader; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
