David Hal Morris Jr.

David Hal Morris Jr., 95, a former resident of the Verde Valley, died Dec. 23 in Grand Junction, Colo.

An award-winning painter, he was active in the Sedona Art Guild.

He grew up in Cleveland and Chicago, and married Evelyn "Evy" Hassenberg in 1942. They retired to the Verde Valley in 1979 before moving to Grand Junction in 1989.

He is preceded in death by his wife.

He is survived by three sons, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
