Darrell Jay Christy, 85, of Sedona died May 7. He was born February 6, 1924, in Selby, S.D. He was a decorated veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Evelyn Christy; sons, Stephen of Sedona, Ronald (Lisa) of Flagstaff, David (Catherine) of Buckeye and Charles of Phoenix; daughter, Sharlene (Daniel) of Clarkdale, brother Donald (Frances) of Grand Forks, N.D.; sisters Leah of Glendale and Jean (Raymond) of California.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, in the Citizens Cemetery in Flagstaff at 11 a.m.
