Claudia M. Wright

July 23, 1933 – Nov. 11, 2007

Claudia Melick Wright, 74, formerly of Sedona, died in Cottonwood on Nov. 11, after a short illness.

Born in Williams, Wright’s teaching career began on the Navajo Nation, and she also taught at both Cottonwood and West Sedona elementary schools. Wright is survived by sons Wayne, Claude West and Ned; a daughter, Retta; sisters, Mary, Retta and Martha; and five grandchildren

A private memorial service is planned for spring 2008.
