C. James Bethanis, 83, died Sept. 26.

He was a Salvation Army Board volunteer for more than 30 years and served as chairman in Sedona for more than 10 years.

He is survived by wife Jeannine; daughters Sue Bethanis and Suzie Winn; sons Mark Bethanis and Jeffrey Brehmer; grandchildren Kendall and Carter Winn and Max Bethanis; sister Carol Ann Pollock; and brother Alan.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, Oct. 8, 5 p.m. at the Bethanis home.
