Birgitte “B” Skielvig, 53, of Rimrock and formerly of Sedona, died Dec. 18.

She was executive director of the Humane Society of Sedona, and with the shelter for 23 years.

She is survived by her husband John Phillips; brother Gunnar Skielvig; sister Dede [Bill] Nigh; nieces Samantha, Brittney and Pamela Nigh, Ansley [Scott] Silvernagel; grandniece Paige and grandnephew Jaden Silvernagel.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Poco Diablo Resort. Donations may be made to Humane Society of Sedona.
