Bernard “Bernie” Persons

July 8, 1943 — Feb. 20, 2013

Bernard “Bernie” Persons,  69, formerly of the Verde Valley, died Feb. 20.

Born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., he served in the U.S. Army and worked as a ranch hand and laborer on ranches.

He was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Knickerbocker and brother Byron Joseph Persons.

He is survived by his brothers Bradley [Helen] Persons and Brandt Persons of New York; brother-in-law Vernis Knickerbocker; sister Brenda [Raymond] Wright of New York; and four nieces and nephews.
