This past weekend was a good time for bargains as, in addition to the usual number of garage and yard sales, the Church of the Red Rocks held its biannual Treasure Sale on Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16. Proceeds from the sale went to the church’s Mission Outreach Fund and the Building Debt. The morning turnout on Friday was reportedly huge. “I got here a quarter to 8, and there was already a crowd waiting,” volunteer Barb Roberts said, adding that a number of people arrived with more items to donate to the sale both Friday and Saturday morning. The sale featured five rooms of “treasure,” with rooms devoted to books, clothing, a silent auction, and a large downstairs room filled with furniture, sporting goods, luggage and electronics; meanwhile, the hallway featured local arts and crafts.
