Hideaway hosts late-night musical lineup

The Hideaway Restaurant features three musicians on Saturday, Jan. 26, starting at 10 p.m. The show runs until 2 a.m., offering a full late night of original music to enjoy.

Alaska guitarist Matt Hopper will join Sedona musicians Jake Payne and Dirty Lingo.

Currently on tour, Hopper played more than 500 shows in the last four years all across the country.

Hopper has an army of loyal fans across North America, who are eager to spread the word about the heartfelt intimacy and appeal of his songs.

His latest album, “Reverse Odyssey” is “soaked with heartbreaking, honey-sweet melodies and more than a few kick-in-the-ass rockers,” according to journalist Shelley Peckham of the online magazine Dane101.

Born in the southern desert of Arizona, Payne has called Sedona his home since he moved to the city in 2004.

He has played local venues including the city’s nightspots, coffee shops and local festivals like GumptionFest.

Dirty Lingo consists of guitarist Mike Chapman, bass player John Hayden and drummer Adam Wolin.

In 2005, they recorded their first album, “Pleasant By Being Rude,” and are currently recording their next, “Junk Food Junkies.”

The Hideaway Restaurant is located at 251 Hwy. 179, Sedona. For more information, call 606-4474.
