Even though she may be new to the political scene, Christine Jones said she’s no stranger to how politics work. Gubernatorial candidate Christine Jones gives a one- on-one interview with the Sedona Red Rock News on Thursday, Jan. 9, at a West Sedona restaurant. Jones, the former vice president for Go Daddy, hopes to succeed Jan Brewer as governor of Arizona in the November election. She sees her lack of political experience as an advantage.

“One of the most important things a governor can say to the federal government is, ‘Not on my watch,’” she said. “We need someone who says they’re going to do something regardless of the political nonsense.”

Jones was the guest speaker on Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Sedona Republican Men’s Club luncheon. She is one of several candidates running for governor this year.
