Bethany Gray is enjoying life with her cousin and dogs in the Verde Valley, and she’s keeping herself busy after work that took her across the country.Bethany Gray tends to a booth at a farmers market in Sedona on Friday, June 27. A former park ranger, Gray now works with a local greenhouse that grows and sells sprouts and baby greens.

“I actually live in Cottonwood, and I have lived there off and on for about 10 or 12 years,” Gray said. “I was a park ranger and then I was at NAU, but my cousin grew up in Jerome and she’s been here, so I just always end up back with her. She’s my best friend.”

Gray went all over as a park ranger, in addition to other government work.

“I did it over a period of about four years and I did it at quite a few different parks,” she said. “I did different jobs. I also worked for a lot of different government agencies, so I was both a park ranger and I was a field biologist as well.”
