On Thursday, June 19, the Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition held its monthly meeting at 54 Bowstring Drive. This meeting will develop ideas for the upcoming fall show, the theme of which is “Who Am I?” Pash Galbavy uses her masks to present human archetypes and identities. She brought this technique to the Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition’s meeting to help them bring out their upcoming exhibition’s theme “Who Am I?”

Mask maker and performance artist Pash Galbavy was a featured presenter at the meeting and helped extrapolate the upcoming show’s theme. The meeting wasn’t just for group members — the public was also welcome to attend and Galbavy explained her process and how she puts on her one-woman show, “The Body Reclamation Project.”

Galbavy’s masks represent different archetypes of characters, which she uses to express aspects of both herself and humanity. It is for this reason that she felt she could help flesh out the theme of “Who Am I?”
