Should Sedona allow alcohol at city parks?

If all goes as planned, by the beginning of summer, Sunset Park will have a new — and popular — look.
Marcus Evans and his son Neil Evans play catch Thursday, Jan. 2, at Sunset Park. Construction of a new water park is scheduled to begin in mid-February at Sunset Park. It will be the only outdoor water park in the Verde Valley, and is slated to open in late May.
That’s because it will be home to the only outdoor water park in the Verde Valley and will offer a variety of features for children of all ages.

Sedona Parks & Recreation Manager Rachel Murdoch said Sunset Park was an easy choice since it’s the most popular playground in Sedona. She said they’re going to have a garden theme with plenty of bright colors and shapes to match the adjacent playground. The project will also include a covered shade structure.
