Arizona has a history of filmmaking that runs right up to the present day. Now, the films and the stories behind them are brought together in the book “Location Filming in Arizona: The Screen Legacy of the Grand Canyon State,” by Lili DeBarbieri.Lili DeBarbieri is the author of a new book, “Location Filming in Arizona: The Screen Legacy of the Grand Canyon State.” She will be signing the book — which has a section dedicated to Sedona — Saturday, April 19, at the Well Red Coyote book store.

The book covers the entire state, including a section dedicated to Sedona, and covers films in all genres, not just the Westerns Arizona is best known for.

With information that spans a state and several decades, research was no easy task for DeBarbieri but she said that didn’t make it any less interesting.
