When residents and visitors alike visit Sedona by taking State Route 179 from Interstate 17, usually the first thing they notice from the road before hitting the Village of Oak Creek is a collection of brightly colored egg-shaped domes on the left.An Outside look of the dining room and kitchen area of the colorful Xanadu dome home from its south end. The family that build it promoted it as a spiritual center and it is currently for sale.

Some even might pull into the large gravel-filled driveway, which resembles a small parking lot, thinking they’ve hit their first destination in Sedona sightseeing.

“I get people stopping by all the time. They pull up thinking it’s a tourist spot,” Realtor Ken Robertson said.

In reality, the 10 domes connect to form a residential home, albeit a large one at about 5,000 square feet, sitting on a little more than 3.5 acres.

Named Xanadu by its original owners, Bracken Cherry and his wife Nina Joy, the house was built in 1994 to house the couple and their three children, and a quick online search can bring up videos of Cherry and his daughters promoting the house as a spiritual center.
