Should Sedona allow alcohol at city parks?

There are those who talk about wanting to make a difference in the world. And then there are those like Stacy James.Rise Up, a benefit for the children and endangered wildlife such as lions in Zambia, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday,  May 17, at the Sedona Public Library. The Las Vegas-based nonprofit  organization Dazzle Africa provides education, promotes  conservation of animals and helps human communities in the  landlocked nation in southeastern Africa.
James is the co-founder of Dazzle Africa, a nonprofit organization based in Las Vegas.

The goal of the group is to provide education, promote conservation and strive for community enhancement for those who are unable to do so for themselves.

Last year, Sedona resident Denise Roman went on one of the Dazzle Africa’s annual fundraising safaris and wanted to do something to give back.

“She was very touched by what she saw so she suggested we come to Sedona and host a fundraiser,” James said.

Rise Up, a benefit for the children and endangered African wildlife in the country of Zambia, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Sedona Public Library.
