Should West Sedona School have two principals?

As you read this, chances are that you, a loved one or co-worker is probably sick. On top of that, it should come as no surprise.The Influenza Virus Vaccine can be administered at many local pharmacies, grocery stores or doctors in Sedona and the neighboring areas. The flu is one of the main reasons people get sick this time of year and the vaccine helps prevent several common strands of this virus.

“It’s that time of the year,” said Steve Everett, an epidemiologist with the Yavapai County Community Health Services. “This is pretty much a natural occurrence this time of the year. The flu is most common in December, January and February but this year we’re a week or two behind.”

According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, Arizona flu activity hit widespread last week with “widespread” being the highest category possible. Confirmed cases of flu are being reported in every Arizona county, the majority being the 2009 H1N1 virus.
