Should Sedona allow alcohol at city parks?

That may have come as little surprise to the millions who visit the area each year. It’s the job of the Sedona Chamber of Commerce to inform those who may not be aware of that fact while reminding those who do.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, nearly 100 people turned out for the chamber’s annual meeting where a variety of topics were discussed, including their annual report, new marketing plan and campaign as well as the revamped website, visit sedona.com.

Tourism is a nearly $400 million industry in Sedona, said Jennifer Wesselhoff, the chamber’s president and CEO. Visitors add $10 million in local tax dollars that provide vital services for residents and support nearly 10,000 jobs generating more than $200 million in wages alone.

“That’s why the Sedona Chamber of Commerce is in the tourism business,” she said.
