Coconino and Yavapai counties, the city of Sedona, Sedona Fire District, U.S. Forest Service and other cooperating agencies will hold a community meeting to provide an update on the Burned Area Emergency Response team assessment of the Slide Fire.The Slide Fire burned a sizable portion of the western side of Oak Creek Conyon. A meeting Thursday, Jun 19, will cover what can be done to decrease the fire's impact during the monsoon.


It will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at Sedona Red Rock High School at 995 Upper Red Rock Road, inside the Sedona Performing Arts Center.

Attendees will learn how multiple agencies have spent the past several weeks assessing Oak Creek Canyon properties in anticipation of possible monsoonal flooding this summer.
