What classes are you teaching this year?
I am teaching our second-third grade combo class this year. I am so happy to be a part of the Wildcat team and look forward to this upcoming year.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I love learning new things, going on adventures, traveling around the world, creating art projects and exploring our beautiful community and the surrounding areas. These are just some of my favorite hobbies and interests, but this list grows the more I try different things and go on new adventures.

Did you move to the area for this job?
Sedona has been my home for the past 30 years. My brother and I were raised in this wonderful community. Although I have traveled far and wide, lived in other countries and places, Sedona has always remained my true home sweet home. I love Northern Arizona, and I am incredibly fortunate for the opportunity of growing up in such a kind, caring and loving community.

What interested you in this position?
My heart has always been drawn to working with children. When I decided to pursue my passion for teaching, I couldn’t think of a better location than the place that supported me when I was growing up. I am so grateful for all those who have impacted my life and I want nothing more than to give back to the same community that gave me so much.

What is your background in education?
I have worked in education for many years in different capacities. From leadership, finance, student social, emotional and behavioral support, to now a Sedona Wildcat classroom teacher. I could not be more excited to support our learners. I am always amazed by the dedication and commitment that educators, leaders, administrators and all support personnel demonstrate toward the well-being and success of our students.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am so proud of our students for persevering, growing and being flexible during this time. They have done a wonderful job.
